The food label

The food label is a secret weapon for healthy eating. Use this tool to your advantage. It can tell you a lot about a food and its contents.

Familiarize yourself with this tool and look for items displaying the heart check mark from the American Heart Association (AHA). This red heart with a check mark through it indicates this item meets the AHA criteria for saturated fat and cholesterol
